From Innovation to Impact: Scotland's Agri-Tech Reception

Thursday 17th September 2026, 12:30pm to 2:30pm

Roslin Institute, Easter Bush Campus

Scotland has a long-standing reputation for excellence in agricultural science, research and food production. As the sector responds to the challenges of climate change, food security, productivity and rural prosperity, there is a unique opportunity to position Scotland at the forefront of global agri-tech.

This networking reception is hosted by the UK Agri-Tech Centre at the Roslin Institute, one of the UK's leading centres for agricultural research and enterprise.

Bringing together representatives from industry, investment, government, academia and the wider agri-food community, this event will provide a forum to discuss how Scotland can accelerate the adoption of agri-tech, strengthen collaboration across the sector and unlock sustainable economic growth.

Discussion will focus on how to support high-growth businesses, encourage investment and help translate world-class research into real-world impact.

Together we'll explore:

  • How Scotland can strengthen its position as a global leader in agri-tech.
  • The challenges facing Scottish agriculture-and the technologies that can help address them.
  • The barriers preventing promising ideas and technologies from achieving commercial adoption and scale.
  • How stronger collaboration between government, industry, researchers and investors can accelerate growth and deliver lasting impact for the sector.
