FUNDING Innovation

Research and Innovation funding bodies such as Department for Science, Innovation and TechnologyInnovate UKScottish EnterpriseBiotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) ensure that we are responsive to new and emerging ideas, and act as a two-way conduit to these funding bodies.

Easter Bush Campus is a Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) Innovation Campus, and Roslin Innovation Centre manages a BBSRC Campus Innovation Accelerator Award (CIAA), to support innovation intra and inter-campus collaborations between our tenant/member companies and those on Campus.

“The Campus Innovation Award enabled us to develop high-through put measurement tools that fundamentally improve our breeding programme.

"This support accelerated our genetic progress and strengthened our collaboration with world-class researchers at the Roslin Institute.”

Thomas Farrugia, CEO and co-founder of Beta Bugs Ltd
