The Farming Innovation Programme, run by Defra in partnership with Innovate UK, is designed to fund research and practical projects that help farmers, growers, and foresters increase productivity, improve business resilience, cut environmental impacts, and move the agricultural sector toward net zero.

All funding will be awarded through competitions. All the competitions in the programme have been developed so that insights from science and business can be applied to challenges in agriculture and horticulture.

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £15 million for feasibility projects. This funding is from the industry led R&D Partnerships Fund, part of the Farming Innovation Programme.
